Child and Adolescent Swim Program Testimonies
"To let everybody know how our son did this year with his Swim Team,
I sent a picture on the e~mail before this one to you and, of course, to the
United States Olympic Committee.     The awards he earned were:

1) Trophy: League Championship Team
2) Trophy: Best Time improvement, 10 year old Boys
3) Trophy: Highest Points earned, 9-10 yr. Boys
4) Trophy: Most Valuable Swimmer, 9-10 yr. old Boys
5) "Top Gun" Award: This medal is perhaps the most difficult to earn by any competitor.

For those of you uninformed about swimming rules, awards, and the degree of
difficulty involved for the young swimmers in todays swim meets, they are governed
by the same criteria as the athletes in our colleges and our universities.  If they
miss touching the wall  properly, if they use the wrong kick after their flipturn and
are disqualified, it applies to every competitor whether they're 6 years old or 20 years old.

For the difficult "Top Gun" award to be earned the swimmer must show improved times
in 80 percent of all events entered in all league sanctioned meets.  Our son exceeded that
by substantial margins.  He also, has only been swimming competitively for one year
and a couple of weeks.    After the awards banquet he told his mom and me, "I've found
out where I really, truly belong in sports, Mom." "This is it for me, swimming is my sport, heck, it's my life."

Barring the discovery that girls inhabit the same planet along with him, there is the opportunity for him to continue with the same focus, discipline,
and drive that he currently possesses.  The world is his if he wants it.

A very special word of gratitude must be given to Cristin Reichmuth, World Class Coach, Lady, International Triathlon Competitor, and the best
motivator our son could hope for.     Thanks to the coaches too, specially Tom, but, to Cristin, a big time Thank you.

We're very proud of our son and wanted to share.  He has worked very, very hard for these beginning achievements."
-Father of Age Group Swimmer

"Hi Cristin: Although it was a bit touch and go for our daughter today, it being her first day, she was thrilled to receive the 2nd place ribbon for her
freestyle heat.  I really believe she has the potential to get good with practice - she loves taking lessons with you and is an incredibly quick learner -
let's just hope her body is capable of responding to the instructions!  By the way, I am impressed by your focus and intensity as a coach (as well
as your clear abilities!).  I'm very excited that our kids can have the opportunity to learn from you.  Our daughter clearly enjoys it immensely.
-Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club Swim Parent

"Dear Coach, We hold you accountable for what is happening in the life of our son. Don't attempt to escape or deny your culpability. It was you.
Yesterday, his coach told his group of young swimmers they were to be split into two groups.  I got a call from the head coach of the entire team, and
he said,  "I see your son there on time, he works hard, he has improved so much, he seems committed,...I just want to know what you think about
moving him over to me?"  Now, I ask you, what's a Viking father going to say? No? Nah,...after the gift of your "tune-up", which, our son took to heart,
he has worked very hard, very, very hard to improve on each of your suggestions. Thank you much. So?  Results,..phenomenal.  Improvement?
Markedly so.  And,...does he get noticed? Well, ....evidently!  Again, kudos in your direction."
-Father of Age Group Swimmer

"Mom! Cristin is a GREAT swim teacher!"
-Ryan Yamashita, 8 Year Old Swimmer

“Hi Cristin, Rod and I are so amazed by you and your great teaching style--to think that only two and a half months ago we had a kid who
cried when he thought of letting go of the edge of the pool.  We have such confidence, as does Daniel (age 4), when we see him in the deep end of
the pool swimming and diving as fast as he can.   Additionally, the entire family was AMAZED and totally blown away by Bianca (age 2)!  Jaws
dropped when she floated all around on her own in the pool smiling all the way.  You're a Godsend in our book and we are so grateful for you!
Thanks a ton!!”
-Marlena Djukich, Cowabunga! Aquatics Family

“Hi Cristin, You would be so proud of the kids, especially Kooper!  He got a "Top Gun" at Championships (he improved all his times in the max
number of events he could enter).  When we were jumping around celebrating his victory he said it was because of you!  He really got serious
after meeting with you, your motivational talk and stroke instruction did the trick.  I have never seen him more determined or happier.  He looked
wonderful zooming through the water.  Thanks so much Cristin.  Kooper really has so much trust and respect for you.  You have really boosted his
confidence and belief in himself."
-Charlotte Knutson, Swim Team Mom

”We sing your praises at our home.  Two years ago both of my older girls were completely scared of the getting their heads wet and wouldn't put their
faces in the water.  They liked swimming in pools as long as they could touch the bottom and had "floaty type" toys.  Thanks to you, Cristin, my girls
are on their way to being very good swimmers and are now water safe.  I do not worry about them being in or near the water. I can't believe how far
we've come since we first met you.  I remember those first few days of the water safety when Amber would be so scared and cried through her
lessons.  Today she is attempting to dive straight into the water.  She enjoys classes and wants to learn.  She is a difficult student and always tries to
manipulate the instruction to fit her agenda, but you surely keep a good handle on her.  Thank you for all you've done in teaching her the skills she
needs to be safe in the water. Both Amber and Isabella are becoming good swimmers and for that my husband and I thank you.  We can't wait for
next year when McKenna gets to have her first lessons. Enjoy the rest of your summer.  We love you!”
-Kari, Andy, Amber, Isabella and McKenna Baldwin, Cowabunga Aquatics Family

“Cristin's ability to instill confidence, teach technique and reward effort makes her an exceptional swimming instructor.  Within a very short amount of
time our 4-year old son went from hesitant and unsure in the water to eager, confident and happy. Joshua who would not put his face in the water
before his lessons, was able to jump off a diving board into the deep end of a pool, rise to the surface and float on his back to the edge by the end of
his lessons.  We look forward to having Joshua work with Cristin again next year as his swim lessons continue.”
-Darren & Michelle Hayton

“My four year old daughter had never taken swim lessons before.  I spoke to Cristin prior to signing up and she was very kind and honest.  She told
me what to expect throughout the two weeks of lessons.  The lessons were everything Cristin had promised they would be.  Cristin breaks down
each swimming stroke and skill into manageable parts.  She has the student master each part, before she adds another.  Each lesson builds on the
one before.  Cristin's instruction is clear and age appropriate.  Both my daughter and I were extremely pleased with the new skills she learned.  We
love Miss Cristin!  I plan to have both of my daughters enrolled in her lessons for many summers to come.  I highly recommend her lessons!”
-Mandi Middleton, Elementary school teacher & mother of 2

“We would highly recommend Cristin Reichmuth as a swim instructor. Our 4 yr old daughter had previously taken group lessons without much
success, but after a couple of weeks worth of private lessons from Cristin, we have seen remarkable results. With Cristin’s attention to detail,
patience, and ability to communicate effectively, Olivia overcame her fear of the water and in just a few lessons she was swimming. She now has the
fundamentals and confidence to enter any pool and a true desire to practice her newfound skills. No other swimming instructor has been able to do
this. Cristin’s qualifications are impressive and we had a chance to observe her teaching methods which are quite effective. We are extremely happy
with the results.”
-Joe & Wendy Bromback

“To those of you whom are looking for a swim teacher for your children, I highly recommend Cristin Reichmuth.  At first the price might affect your
decision, but after the results you will be amazed on your child’s improvements. My daughter is six years old.  Day 1 she learned to go under water
without plugging her nose. Day 2 she was floating on her back.  By day 5, we did a water safety test (wrapped her in a towel and pushed he into the
deep end of the pool, she wiggled out of the towel and made it safely to the side of the pool and got out by herself.  We then skipped a week
(vacation).  Started up again for a second week lesson.  My daughter was doing front stroke long laps across the pool, backstroke by the end of the
week, and diving for the rings in the middle of the pool. Cristin is strict!  Learning to swim is very important, it is not play time and you are paying for
lessons.  My children had no problem with this.  I feel that children respond well to authority.  I will most likely use Cristin again next summer to give
my daughter a refresher course. Thank you Cristin for saving my daughter’s life or someone else in the future.”
-Patti Roberts

“We have been using Cristin as a swimming instructor since my daughter was 4.  She is now 10, and a good swimmer, thanks to Cristin.  I also have
a son who has been taking swimming lesson from her for the last 3 years.  He is 6 yrs old now, and has come a long way in his swimming
capabilities.  One thing is for sure, I'm no longer concern about my children not being able to save themselves if they fell in a pool.  Cristin is great
teacher, and she has made sure that my youngest can swim to safety if needed.  I plan on using her for a couple of more years, for my son, and I
strongly recommend her to anyone who is interested in getting the very best for their kids.”
-Veronica Ott

“I was unsure about sending my 2 yr. old daughter to Cristin for swimming lesson-the reason for this was because my daughter does not warm up to
new people very well.  On our first day, the first 15 minutes was a crying match, she wanted no part of being in the pool, but the remaining 15 minutes
she got use to the water and Cristin. I would recommend Cristin to anyone who is looking to start their child in swimming lessons, or just to get
familiar with the water.  Cristin is very stern with the child, but yet gives the child positive encouragement.  My daughter had become comfortable with
Cristin in the 8 lessons that we had.  She enjoys going to the class and picking up the new toys that Cristin provides at break time.  She had learned
a lot of new techniques that she still practices even after the swimming lessons are over.  Take your child to Cristin, trust me you will not be
disappointed in the return you get from your child being able to float, put their face in the water and even jumping off a diving board into deep water.  It
is worth every dime you spend for the lessons.  P.S. Bring a video camera to watch the improvements.”
-Kim Sullivan

“Hi Cristin! Took Jason to grandpa's pool a couple weeks ago to practice.  He did good! Still remembers his BIG ARMS and Back Float to rest and
breath.  I am still amazed at how much you taught him and how far he got in just two short weeks!  I was watching Ryan swim too.  No form, no
strokes, no proper breathing.  He definitely needs to spend a week with you next spring!  And a refresher course for Jason too! Okay, you take care
and have a great winter.  Hope to see you next spring! :-)”
