captain works with the race director in brainstorming for goods and then collects money, from the auction
winners for the auctioned goods, and delivers the auctioned items to the highest bidders. This person also
creates bid sheets and makes sure there are pens and that the auction area is presentable.  This motivated
person promotes the auction to athletes and families.  The proceeds of the auctioned items go directly to the

The heartbeat of the race happens here. Write numbers on athletes as they ready for their event.  Pens will
be provided.  Ensuring the flow of the athletics in and out of the transition area. For example if an athlete
needs to head out to the bike course, we ensure they are going to the bike course with their proper gear and
not heading to the pool.  It's a position that requires a highly organized individual the day of the race.
  • Work with the Swim/Bike/Run coordinators in planning aid stations
  • Make sure the kids rack their bikes in the right areas

  • Work with clean up crew to make sure the transition area is spotless once we leave
